Hi there , my name is Chris Smith. I am a illustrator/designer from Philadelphia. I currently have my studio in Wyomissing PA. I chose the moniker Quarternative because I am quarter Pueblo Native American.
I graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in Illustration and had some wonderful mentors such as Roger DeMuth and John Thompson.
My progression as an artist has evolved through the mediums of pen and ink, watercolor, and gouache, until I figured out how to use the magical box called the computer. I have been specializing in vector designs since.
I am an avid sports fan and my art reflects this. I also enjoy pop-culture, Native American culture, urban city scapes, travel, nature, and history.
I believe illustration is a service to society, a way to express feelings and ideas by pictures with infinite possibilities. I love team working, as well as listening and adapting myself to the client’s needs. I also like to accept new challenges and create personal projects.
